Andy Moran, Cian O’Sullivan, Paul Geaney and Seán Óg Ó hAilpín launch 2018 #AllIrelandSmiles campaign

Mayo’s Andy Moran, Dublin’s Cian O’Sullivan, Kerry’s Paul Geaney and Cork’s Seán Óg Ó hAilpín are ambassadors for GSK’s #AllIrelandSmiles campaign for 2018.

Mayo’s Andy Moran, Dublin’s Cian O’Sullivan, Kerry’s Paul Geaney and Cork’s Seán Óg Ó hAilpínare ambassadors for GSK’s #AllIrelandSmiles campaign for 2018. This year our Oral Care teams are getting together to educate Ireland’s primary school students on the importance of good oral hygiene to kids aged 5 – 12.

We want to get Ireland smiling, and from April we will be giving away thousands of toothbrushes to champion healthy mouths in Ireland.

Following a hugely successful tour in 2017, the All Ireland Smiles roadshow will again tour across Ireland and stop off in each ambassador’s county. Oral health specialists from the Sensodyne and Corsodyl Daily team will be on hand to answer any questions the public may have on oral health, offer tips and discuss the full range of products.

The ambassadors will also play a key role in promoting good oral hygiene to Ireland’s students as they will visit primary schools in their locality, along with an oral health specialist, and educate them on the importance of looking after their teeth and offering tips on how to do so!

The All Ireland Smiles school visits will kickstart in Mayo when Andy Moran will visit Balla National School on April 24th. As well as receiving advice on best practice for oral healthcare, students will also receive a free Aquafresh Kids toothbrush and an activity book to encourage regular brushing of their teeth.

The All Ireland Smiles roadshow will continue to tour across Ireland during the summer where it will stop off at Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular in Dublin on July 6th, 7th and 8th and continue to Cork on July 14th and 15th. Attracting crowds of up to 250,000, Laya Healthcare’s City Spectacular is Ireland’s largest free summer festival. The dental team, including the Sensodyne, Corsodyl Daily, and Aquafresh Kids brands will be in attendance to demonstrate the importance of good oral hygiene and will also hand out thousands of free toothbrushes in each location.

Speaking at the launch, Eilis Tobin, Marketing Manager, Oral Care, GSK Ireland commented;

“We are delighted to launch #AllIrelandSmiles for a second consecutive year in Ireland. Oral healthcare is a vital part of your overall health, and we want to ensure children as young as 5 begin to take their oral healthcare seriously.

“We will visit 8 primary schools across four counties, reaching thousands of students. Each student will receive a free toothbrush and tips from our dedicated oral health specialist, an initiative we are proud to lead in Ireland.”

With the championship fast approaching each ambassador is hoping that they will bring smiles to their supporters during the 2018 season in the hope of Provincial and All Ireland success!
